• Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
• Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for management
• Establish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Analyze and review budgets and expenditures and submit them for approval
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices and other accounting documents.
• Reconciliations: bank statements, client accounts, creditors and debtors.
• Making statutory payments such as PAYE, VAT, Social Security, ETC.
• Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Prepare interim accounts for auditors.
• Making payments at banks where applicable
• Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
• Interact with auditors in completing audits.
• Develop the annual operating budget and consult with management on the fiscal aspects of program planning, recommendations, and other administrative actions.
• Safe-guarding the assets of the company
• Any other duty to be assigned by management
• THE PERSON
• Holder of HND Accountancy / Degree in Accounting or its equivalent
• 2- 4 Years working experience in similar accounting role
• Commercial oriented person
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Multi-tasking abilities and attention to details
• Good presentation skills
• Knowledge in accounting software is added advantage
